Labral Repair
Labral tears can cause shoulder instability and pain. Surgical repair by Dr Edoardo Giovannetti De Sanctis restores shoulder function, while a personalised rehabilitation plan ensures a safe return to daily and athletic activities for international patients in the French Riviera.
Labral tears often occur due to trauma, repetitive overhead movements, or shoulder instability, and can lead to pain, clicking, weakness, and a sense of the shoulder “giving way.”
The surgical procedure is aimed at restoring the stability and function of the shoulder joint by repairing a torn labrum—the ring of cartilage that surrounds and deepens the glenoid socket.
During the procedure, we will reattach the torn cartilage to the bone using small anchors and sutures, helping to restore the normal anatomy of the joint.
With appropriate rehabilitation, labral repair can significantly improve stability, reduce pain, and allow patients to return to sports and daily activities with greater confidence.
